A broad spectrum preventive pesticide against some fungal diseases

and also effective against Worm rash spider (Eriophyidae)

:Active ingredient

Sulfur 80% WG

Category:

Pesticide Classification: Fungicide

Chemical group: Inorganic compounds

Chemical composition: Sulfur

 Mode of action:

The pesticide has many ways of affecting fungi, it reacts with thiol (sulfhydryl) compounds such as sulfur amino acids inhibiting the respiration of fungi, sulfur is also reduced to hydrogen sulfide, which is toxic to fungal cells, and sulfur vapors in their various forms, whether in the form of sulfur or sulfur oxides, cause cell death, in addition to its acidic effect on the plant surface, and also its thermal effect on spores and mycelium.

Systemic action inside the plant:

Non-systemic pesticide works by contact and through its vapors.

Pesticide efficacy:

Broad spectrum preventive pesticide against fungal diseases as powdery mildew in fruit crops, vegetables, apple and pear scab and stone fruits shot-hole, also the pesticide is effective against worm mite (Eriophyidae).

Diseases that are controlled by HIVIT: according to the recommendations of the pesticides committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and land reclamation

Crop Disease Application rate
Grapes Powdery mildew 250 g / 100 L water

 General recommendations for use:

It is a broad spectrum pesticide against fungal diseases.

Crop Disease Dosage/concentration
Grapes – mangos – apples Powdery mildew 250 g / 100 L water
Tomatoes – zucchini – watermelon – melon – peas Powdery mildew 250 g / 100 L water
Cucumber Powdery mildew 200 g / 100 L water
Peas Rust 250 g / 100 L water

PHI: 3 days on grape fruits and 4 days on grape leaves.

Maximum residue limits in grapes (MRL): Not specified.

Application method: Spraying on the vegetative growth.

Product advantages:

Sulfur is a stable compound at normal temperatures. It forms more toxic compounds against fungi when the temperature rises or when it is oxidized to forms of sulfur dioxide and trioxide and dissolved in water  to the forms of sulfurous and sulfuric acids.

Mixability: Cannot be mixed with oils as it causes toxicity to plants.

Sulfur toxicity on plant:

The pesticide causes toxicity to grape leaves when applied at high temperatures, and may also cause toxicity to some varieties of apricots and cucumbers
